The projects are managed in a specially configured version of the open source system Trac, which has been optimized and integrated with Weltgeist’s development process. The project management lists continuous builds for all developed software and provides real-time reports of a project’s journey from beginning to end. It also tracks all of the documentation that’s produced, source code, the time plan of a project split into phases and iterations, automatic test results, manual test results, bug reports, work items with time estimations showing the amount of work done and still to be done, among other things. This type of configuration is needed in order to apply the principles behind the Agile-methodology, and to be able to react to new information quickly, together with the constantly updated client. The end-user and other partners can help the testing process daily by downloading the latest software-build and find documentation, reports, statistics and other critical information to be able to come with quality reports during the project development process. By focusing on the architecture of the system early on, as a filter to naturally divide the different tasks in the group, and by applying thoughtfully chosen methods from Weltgeist’s systems development process, highly technological software and electronics will be produced.
