Act PDF Print E-mail

Palmenco is the Swedish police's supplier of alcometer instruments and they are assigned to do service and calibration to assure the quality of the instruments functionality. Around 10,000 instruments pass through each year and gets calibrated, upgraded and fixed if needed.

Act was a collaboration between Palmenco, Wiig Data and Weltgeist. During the development process of said project Palmenco got optimised through an upgrade of the system which later got integrated with one of Weltgeist's specially developed solutions including electronic and mechanical automatization of specific tasks. Among the components of the system, one of them is a newly developed hardware unit which lets the software perform mechanical and systemized tasks that were only possible to perform manually earlier. The user interface lays on top of a .NET 2.0 application that organizes the work based on customers, invoices and delivery adresses. It also generates real-time information which is seamlessly integrated with accounting- and sales support-systems using a light-weight ESB.
